I love capturing people amidst color and light. I think it creates a certain amount of depth and character to a photo. Love love love this set.
Woodfire Candle Company is a wonderful, rustic, pure minnesotan company out of Duluth, MN. They hand pour all of their candles and spend the time to make sure they smell absolutely incredible. They needed some photos that were clear, bright, but still tying in that Northern Minnesotan feel.
I got an opportunity to be on the photography team for Sonshine Festival in 2016. At this time I had never really shot a full out concert let alone a huge festival so it was totally a new experience. But it was so worth it considering I worked along side some amazing local photographers. I learned so much from doing this - like anticipating when the artist is about to do something amazing, and when everything slides perfectly together in time - the lights, fog, the way the artist is waiting for the perfect chance to surprise the crowd and put them in awe, it all comes together. This is when the emotion of the music and the art of photography become one.
I adore Jaz's hilarious, creative and seriously just wonderful energy. We've grown up together at church since we were just little girls. She's such a great human to have in my life. Also - a wonderful photographer (her instagram: jazzyjaz19) LOVE her.
Playing with depth is something I find so interesting and can add so much to a photo. It makes me feel as if it's like your watching a memory over again as it creates a more dream-like photo that draws you in.
Such a fun Senior shoot with this sweet girl, Lylah!
I have been fortunate enough to work with Duluth Pack multiple times, in the summer and winter seasons. Previous to working with them, I'd always make sure I made a stop in their shop in Duluth on my way up the North Shore. They have the most durable and amazing backpacks and bags, plus a ton more outdoor equipment. This shoot was one of my favorites because of the way I could use the color of the nature surrounding us and morning light to really make the products pop.
Something I truly love is capturing moments in time. Especially when traveling.

Bamboo Revolution is a gorgeous watch company based out of Cape Town, South Africa whose watches are all made of bamboo. I played around with natural tones and light to capture the simplicity and beauty of their watches. Loved collaborating with this company!
Kate is such a lovely, supportive, hilarious and bubbly person, I'm SO happy that I was able to shoot her senior pictures! She's such a good friend to have.
